I love her. I cringe in rage towards him every time she says her boyfriend’s name. He has screwed up and needs to grow up. She and I go out on dates, dinner, talk for hours, have almost every evening enjoying each other. For the record, I’m a year and a half older than she is but 2 years ahead in school. She knows I spend every moment we have together keeping her happy. She knows I’ll protect her from anything. She knows I think she is absolutely incredible. She is in high-school with him and he got caught sneaking into her house. At his age, a minor, he’s trying to get lucky. Since, they only see each other when he walks her to her car and in one class, I don’t understand why she stays with him. From everything I know of him, he’s a cocky and shallow jerk (yes, I’ve met him and spent time around him), needs to face that humiliation to grow up (he’s also half a year younger than her). I swear he’ll take advantage of her, she’s too sweet and naive. Both of their parents banned each other from being together. Her parents love me, her friends are accepting me. We’re really close. Why won’t she just dump him!?
One day soon, I know I’m going to have to just tell her to choose or I’m done.
