I don’t contact my parents unless I need money. My mother drives me up a wall. I realized tonight that I’ve been dating this hot guy primarily because even though we don’t get along, I’ve been trying to make it work because that’s what I’ve been trying to do with my impossible relationship with my parents since I can remember. I did that with my ex-boyfriend too. I wish I could exit this shitty treated cycle, but there’s no way out. Isn’t it sad?
